WHEATIELD

$1,400 and wedding ring taken in burglary

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Trails End Lane home about 8 p.m. Saturday for a report of a burglary.

A resident said he went out to dinner with his family and when they returned, noticed a garage door open. A search of the house found a $1,500 wedding ring and $1,400 missing. 

A suspect was offered to police.

 

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue at 1:44 p.m. Sunday. Andrea Ilene Jordan, 45, 1365 Pierce Ave. Apt. 3, was charged with petit larceny. Jordan is accused of taking $46 worth of beauty products without paying for them.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1800 block of Cleveland Avenue. A 48-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Sunday, someone entered her home through an unlocked front door. The victims said a 22 inch portable TV was taken.  

Town of Lockport

LARCENY: A victim reported to sheriff's deputies that sometime between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning about 40 pounds of scrap aluminum consisting of downspouts and gutter were taken from in front of a workshop/garage on Niagara Street Ext. The metal is valued at $25.
