Falls man suffers broken nose in robbery

A 52-year-old restaurant worker reported to Falls police that he was attacked and robbed early Monday morning while walking home from work.

The man said he left work on Pine Avenue about 12:30 a.m. and was walking in the alley between Ninth and 10th streets, in the 600 block, when he was approached from behind by at least three people. One of the them said, "We're here to help," and struck him in the face with his fist or another object. The man said he fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

When he awoke, the man said an expired credit card, his disability debit card, a grey backpack, his keys, his driver's license and a $45 Cricket phone were gone.

After arriving home, the man said his roommate convinced him to go to the hospital where he was treated for a broken nose and a knee injury.
