Sheriff's office investigating bones found under front porch in Gasport

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were called to an Emerson Place home by a resident Sunday night after he found several bones.

The resident said he's in the process of repairing his front porch and digging underneath it when he found five bones — four medium sized bones and a small piece of bone in a plastic bag.

A deputy dug around underneath the porch with a shovel but failed to find any additional bones.

The found bones are being tested at the Niagara County Sheriff's Office forensics lab.
