BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 21

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: Two Falls men were arrested following a narcotics questioning which occurred at 6:28 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of Pine Avenue. Eric Walker, 16, 509 25th St., was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, while Efrain Velez, 34, 502 25th St., was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation. An officer on foot patrol reported a smell of burning marijuana was noticed coming from a vehicle parked at the side of the road with smoke coming out of its windows. The officer reportedly questioned Velez, the driver, and Walker about the smoke and Walker, who was reportedly fidgeting, admitted to having marijuana and eight pills, which were reportedly tested to be hydrocodone, in his pocket. After Walker was taken into custody, he began fidgeting again and said he had more pills on him. A strip search revealed a baggy with 36 more pills hidden in his underwear.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle which occurred between 10 p.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 13th Street and Beach Avenue. The victim, a 31-year-old woman, said she was driving when her vehicle stopped performing. She said she left it at the side of the road and when she returned, both windshields, side windows, tail lights and driver’s side tires were damaged and several compact discs were missing from inside.
 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a traffic stop at 6:15 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Ontario Avenue. Johnny Gaddis, 21, 2942 22nd St., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation after patrol officers report noticing the driver’s- side window obstructed. Officers report during interrogation, Gaddis said he had a little marijuana on him and produced two grams of the drug.

 
• ARREST: Two Falls men were reportedly arrested following a traffic stop at 8:03 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of Pine Avenue. Officers charged Timone Prince, 26, 2251 Independence Ave., with unlawful possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation and Corey Mayfield, 28, 748 Eighth St., with unlawful possession of marijuana after they stopped the vehicle because of an obstructed driver’s side window. Upon interrogating the driver, officers report Mayfield, the passenger, was concealing a burning marijuana cigarette. Prince also reportedly had 5 grams of the drug in his possession.
