Police in the village of Kenmore tell local media outlets that the accident occurred around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday when a Ken-Ton School District bus carrying 32 students failed to yield to another bus at an intersection.

The second bus, which was empty, was struck by the first bus then hit a utility pole and the wall of a building in Kenmore, just north of Buffalo.

Police say seven students suffered bumps and bruises but no serious injuries were reported.

Officers ticketed the driver of the bus carrying the children for failing to yield to traffic.
