NIAGARA FALLS

 
National Fuel repairs gas leak

 
National Fuel was called in to repair a gas leak on Royal Avenue Saturday afternoon near the GreenPac Plant.
A private contractor hit a gas line. No residential customers were affected however, two industrial customers in that area were without gas.

 
Niagara Falls

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 500 block of 19th Street. A 28-year-old woman told officers that sometime between noon and 2:50 p.m. Tuesday someone broke into home though an unlocked front door. The victim said a TV, a Wii game system and a Nintendo DS game system were taken.

 
• VANDALISM: Officers are looking into a case of vandalism in the 1300 block of College Avenue. A 35-year-old man told police he was driving in that area at 7 p.m. Tuesday when a juvenile threw something off the railroad bridge and the object struck his car. The object dented the driver’s side door. 

 
Town of Niagara

 
• DWI: Heidi A. Meyer, 53, 6245 Ward Road, Sanborn, was charged with DWI and moving from a lane unsafely about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. Stopped for the traffic violation, Meyer appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Her blood alcohol content was measured at 0.10 percent at the sheriff’s office.

 
Wheatfield

 
• DWI: Robert D. Ott Jr., 41, 287 Schenck St., Apt. 6, North Tonawanda, was charged with DWI, drinking an alcoholic beverage in a car and a seat belt violation about 9 p.m. Friday, according to Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies. Ott was stopped on River Road for not wearing a seat belt and appeared intoxicated, according to a deputy. An open, spilled bottle of Budweiser beer was in plain sight on the floor of the back seat, according to the report. Ott failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the sheriff’s office where his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.13 percent.
