BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 4

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1300 block of Vanderbilt Avenue. A 57-year-old man told officers that sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. Monday, someone broke into his home by breaking a rear window. The victim said an iPad3, some jewelry and some cash was taken.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from the 400 block of Sixth Street. A 73-year-old man told police that sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, someone took 25 bundles of roof shingles from porch in his backyard.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of Ferry Avenue. A property owner told officers that sometime between Nov. 22 and 8:02 a.m. Monday, someone broke into his vacant home by breaking through the basement windows. The victim said a printer, some costume jewelry, some brass plates and other small items were taken.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue at 1:57 p.m. Monday. Davida Yvonne Johnson, 35, 1112 20th St., was charged with petit larceny. Johnson is accused of taking a collection of lotions and hair care products, worth more than $25, without paying for the items.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into an SUV break-in in the 2400 block of South Avenue. A 21-year-old man told police that sometime between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9:58 a.m. Sunday someone broke into his 2003 Saturn Vue by unknown means. The victim said assorted clothing, a portable DVD player and five DVDs were taken.
