BLOTTER: Police reports published April 16

• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue. A 27-year-old man told police he was “jumped” by three suspects at 11 a.m. Sunday and suffered a cut on his right forearm. Officers said the victim was uncooperative and would not give them any additional information.
 
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a truck break-in in the 600 block of 88th Street. A 43-year-old man told police that sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday someone broke into his unlocked Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The victim said $48 was taken.
 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a van break-in in the 700 block of Whirlpool Street. An Ohio tourist told officers that sometime between 4 and 5 p.m. Sunday someone broke into his rented 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan by smashing the passenger-side window. The victim said a book bag, a purse and a laptop computer were taken.
 
• THEFT: Officers are looking into an SUV break-in in the 400 block of Main Street. A Canadian tourist told police that sometime between 4 and 9 a.m. Sunday someone broke into her 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe by smashing the passenger-side window. The victim said a GPS system, a watch, a digital camera and 10 CDs were taken.
