• VANDALISM: Officers are looking into an act of vandalism in the 300 block of 75th Street. A 27-year-old man told police that around 1:05 a.m. Sunday a suspect damaged two subwoofers that had been in the truck of his 2008 Chevy Blazer.

• DWI: Steven A. Wells, 18, 5762 West Ave., upper, Newfane,  DWI, running a red light 4 a.m. Sunday, according to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies. Wells was stopped after running a steady red signal at Lake Avenue and the Matt Murphy Bridge. Wells appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests, which deputies said came to an end when Wells turned his back to them and placed his hands behind his back to signify he knew he would be handcuffed. After being charged, Wells consented to a breath test which measured his blood alcohol content at 0.11 percent.

• HARASSMENT: Molly E. Burley, 34, of Youngstown, was charged with aggravated harassment Jan. 18. She was given a court appearance ticket by New York State Police.

• LARCENY: An Old Beattie Road woman reported to the sheriff's office last week she had mailed a 2-karat diamond ring to an online buyer in Detroit and did not receive the agreed-upon $650 payment for it. The buyer was supposed to pay through PayPal, but as of the report had not done so, although the ring was shipped. The woman tried to contact the Detroit buyer and did not reach him.
