BLOTTER: Police reports published May 14

Niagara Falls

• SHOOTING: Police are investigating a shooting in the 3200 block of Highland Avenue. Officers responded to a call of "shots heard" and a car striking a fence at 1:29 p.m. Monday. A witness told police they heard two gun shots and when they looked out a window, they saw a male suspect, dressed all in black, get into a green Pontiac. The witness also saw a brown car, stuck in a fence, near the green car. The green car went south on Highland Avenue and the brown car back out of the fence and drove north on Highland Avenue. Two 380 caliber shell casings were found in the area of the shooting. 

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a car break-in in the 1100 block of LaSalle Avenue. A 25-year-old woman told police that sometime between 11:15 p.m. Sunday and 12:22 a.m. Monday someone someone broke into her 2005 Pontiac G6 by breaking the sun roof. The victim said her laptop computer was taken.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested on drunken driving and other charges after a traffic stop at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Military Road at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Juliet Caver Lindsay, 55, 1876 Michigan Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence of drugs, unsafe lane change, improper lane use and no insurance. 

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested on drunken driving and other charges after a traffic stop on Main Street at 2:10 a.m. Monday. Felicia Lacretia Gulley, 43, 2727 Eagle Heights, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from the 100 block of Old Main Street. A 42-year-old woman told police that sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon Monday, someone broke into her 2013 Nissan Altima by smashing the passenger-side front window. The victim said her purse and an iPad were taken.
