BLOTTER: Police reports published May 24

• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 200 block of 77th Street. A 29-year-old man told officers he was walking up to his apartment building at 2 a.m. Wednesday when something hard hit him in the back of the head and knocked him to the ground. When he looked up, he saw two men standing over him and the suspects grabbed an Xbox game system the victim had been carrying. The suspects then assaulted the victim again before fleeing from the area.

 
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from a car in the 1800 block of Cleveland Avenue. A 21-year-old woman told police she let her boyfriend use her car to go to work at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The boyfriend told officers he loaned the car, for $100, to an acquaintance to “run some errands.” The car was found in the 1800 block of Cleveland Avenue at 5 a.m. Wednesday with the stereo system missing.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating an SUV break-in in the 2400 block of Pine Avenue. A 55-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 10:50 and 11:02 a.m. Wednesday someone broke into her 2011 Ford Edge by smashing a passenger-side window. The victim said her purse, wallet, checkbook, call phone and some cash was taken.
