BLOTTER: Police reports published May 23

Niagara Falls

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1000 block of Pine Avenue at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday. Ricky Quartan Caldwell, 48, no permanent address, was charged with petit larceny. Caldwell is accused of taking a pair of electric razors, valued at more than $125.

 
• ARREST: A Grand Island woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Karen Lynn Coomber, 54, 2189 Bedell Road, Apt. 3, was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $70 worth of clothing.

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of Fifth Street. An 18-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 12:30 p.m. Monday and 2:11 p.m. Tuesday, someone broke into her apartment by unknown means. The victim said a mini-fridge, a stove, a DVD player, some dishes and a TV were taken.

 
• ROBBERY: Officers are looking into a robbery at a store in the 8000 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. A store clerk told police a male suspect entered the store at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday and took two cans of Natural Ice beer from a cooler. As the clerk went to cash out the suspect, the man said, “I have a knife. I am taking the beers and give me $20. If you don’t, I will stick you.” The victim told the suspect, “That’s not going to happen.” At that point, the suspect grabbed the beers and ran from the store.
