BLOTTER: Police reports published March 28

Niagara Falls

• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault in the area of 18th and Niagara streets. A 25-year-old man told officers he was walking into a store there at 1 a.m. Tuesday, when one male suspect hit him in the face with a pistol and a second male suspect pointed a chrome revolver at him. The victim suffered a cut to his face from the attack.

 
• ARREST: Two Falls women were arrested after a shoplifting incident in a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. Carina Isa, 19, 437 20th St. and Kaitlyn Costantino, 20, 552 19th St. Apt. 2, were each charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child. A store security officer told police that Isa took more than $46 worth of merchandise and Costantino more than $10 worth of merchandise without paying for it. The women also had two children with them at the time of their arrest.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a break-in at a room at a motel in the 6700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Anthony Gugino, 54, 6734 Niagara Falls Blvd. Apt. 127, was charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Witnesses told police they saw Gugino breaking into the room around 5:47 p.m. Tuesday.
