• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 900 block of Cedar Avenue. A 55-year-old man told officers that sometime on March 25 someone broke into his apartment by unknown means. The victim said a rented 50-inch flatscreen TV was taken.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 2300 block of Hyde Park Boulevard at 4:20 p.m. Monday. Oscar P. Gonzalez, 43, 1805 18th St., was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and petit larceny. Gonzalez is accused of taking three DVDs.

• INTOXICATED DRIVER: Lisa M. Magin, 47, 4484 Main St., Gasport, was charged at 3:25 p.m. Friday with failure to keep right and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Rochester and Gasport roads for a motor vehicle accident. According to the report, the caller — who said she was rear-ended by Magin’s vehicle — said Magin appeared to be intoxicated. A deputy reported Magin appeared to have glassy eyes, impaired speech, and was very drowsy. The report said Magin admitted to patrol that she had taken three Xanax pills, one Zoloft, and Ambien prior to operating the vehicle.

• DWI: Raymond J. Herstek, 35, Errick Road, North Tonawanda, was arrested Monday for DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, reckless driving, circumventing an interlock device, unsafe lane change, driving left of pavement markings, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. He struck a tree on Main Street but was not injured. He refused a breath test and was held for court.
