Bicyclist hit by car and killed in Wheatfield

WHEATFIELD — An unidentified bicyclist was struck by a car and killed about 10 p.m. Saturday on Lockport Road, near Walmore Road.

A 17-year-old female was driving the vehicle that struck the bicyclist. She was not injured.

The bicyclist was taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The sheriff's office is not releasing the names of the bicyclist and driver until the investigation is complete and family have been notified.

No charges have been filed.
