BLOTTER: Police reports published April 1

Niagara Falls

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Falls police are investigating about $1,000 in damage done to contents in a home on the 1900 block of Whitney Avenue. The victim said the damage had been done by an acquaintance on Sunday.

• INCIDENT: Falls police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Linwood Avenue for a report of a youth throwing a skateboard through a window Sunday night. Several youths inside the home were questioned after the owner of the property called police but they couldn't provide any useful information. The estimated loss is $100.

City of Lockport

• TRESPASS: Brandon M. Stickney, 46, 218 Washburn St., was charged with second-degree criminal trespass about 4:30 a.m. Monday. Stickney was due in City Court on Monday.

Town of Lockport

• DWI: Ethan C. Batt, 25, of Lockport, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Rapids Road. Batt as given an appearance ticket by New York State Police.

• BAD CHECKS: Patricia L. Blair, 40, of Wilson, was charged with three counts of issuing a bad check March 28. According to New York State Police, it was determined after a four-month investigation that Blair wrote three personal checks totaling more than $56,000 to a local car dealership. Blair was arraigned in Lockport Town Court and was ordered held at Niagara County Jail in lieu of $250 cash and $500 bond bail.


• LARCENY: An Oakwood Drive resident reported her purse was removed from her parked vehicle sometime between 11:30 p.m. March 27 and 2 p.m. March 28. The brown quilted purse contained $15 cash, a bottle of prescription medication, pens, a notebook and the woman's work ID and driver's license, according to the sheriff's office.
