BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 13

• ARREST: A Lackawanna woman was arrested following a shoplifting incident at 1:30 p.m. Friday at a supermarket in the 1000 block of Portage Road. Mariah Bobbitt, 17, 62 Gates Ave., Lackawanna, was charged with petit larceny after she reportedly put bulk candy and beef jerky under her shirt and left the store without paying. The merchandise was valued at $28.77, according to store representatives.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft at 4:10 p.m. Friday from a supermarket in the 7200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. The manager of the store said a slim, teenage girl, along with a middle-aged man and a hispanic woman used a backpack to steal $40 in DVDs from the store. He said employees attempted to keep them from leaving the store, but the man allegedly threatened violence. The manager followed the trio to a hotel in the 6700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, but police were unable to locate the suspects.
