Niagara Falls

• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a reported robbery and assault which occurred at 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of Niagara Avenue. The victim, a 17-year-old man, said he was walking west on Niagara Avenue when three black males, all described as being taller than 6-foot-2 with medium builds, crossed the street towards him. One of the men asked him about a watch he was wearing, he told officers, and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. He said the other two men held him down while the one took the watch off the victim’s wrist. He told police the watch was valued at $50.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a disagreement at a laundromat at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 7300 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Mason Smith, 21, 548 74th St., was charged with second-degree menacing after a 15-year-old girl told police he had threatened her with a pocket knife. She said Smith had been harassing her for weeks and when he showed up at the laundromat, she repeatedly asked him to leave her alone. She said he pulled out the knife and showed it to her. She said she tried to knock it out of his hand and he slapped her. He reportedly fled the scene after another patron called police. Smith was located at 70th Street and Girard Avenue and taken into custody without incident.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a reported burglary which took place between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 2700 block of Willow Avenue. The residence was being maintained for its owner, an 82-year-old man who lives part time in Florida, by his son, who told police he’d secured all doors and windows before leaving the house Wednesday. When he returned, he said, he found the west side door kicked in and officers noticed several windows open with the screens cut. The son said a $1,200 television was missing from inside the house.
