BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 1

• LARCENY: Officers are investigating a motor vehicle larceny that occurred in the 3700 block of Highland Avenue sometime between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim told police that his vehicle was parked in the parking lot of a building in the area when someone shattered the front, passenger-side window and removed a stereo system from the dashboard. The value of the loss was listed at $200. 

 
• DISTURBANCE: Officers were called to the scene of a large fight just after midnight Sunday at a restaurant in the 6500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Reports indicated that by the time police arrived the instigating parties had left the premises. Security guards on scene reported that a group of three males were throwing pizza and, when asked to stop and leave, one of them attempted to strike another individual on site. Security physically removed the males out of the business at the time, according to reports. No one was injured during the incident. 

 
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police are investigating a report of motor vehicle damage that occurred at 3:40 a.m. Sunday. Reports indicated that a woman living in the 2100 block of Main Street was in her apartment at the time of the incident when she heard the sound of glass breaking outside. The victim said she looked out her window and observed a male suspect walking away from her vehicle. Upon further inspection, she told police that she found the front, passenger-side window of her vehicle smashed out and a cinder block inside the car. Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect. Damages were listed at $200.

 
• LARCENY: Police were called to a hotel in the 200 block of First Street for a report of a motor vehicle break-in. The victim told police that sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday someone broke a window on his vehicle while it was parked in the hotel parking lot and removed two GPS systems and a portable DVD player. Total loss was listed at $550.
