Marijuana doesn't go down smooth for Lockport man

A Lockport man was charged with tampering with evidence Thursday afternoon and confessing to a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy that he tried to eat an amount of marijuana he had in his car.

The deputy said he stopped Ryan A. Moskaluk, 33, 6575 Royal Parkway North, about 4:15 p.m. on South Transit Road for a traffic violation.

The deputy said he could marijuana while talking to Moskaluk and spotted an empty pill container on the passenger seat. When he asked Moskaluk to step out of the vehicle, the deputy said he could smell marijuana on his breath and asked if he had ingested the marijuana. Moskaluk replied, "Kinda," and showed the deputy a green leafy substance in his mouth.

Moskaluk was charged with tampering with evidence, unlawful possession of marijuana and the traffic charge.
