BLOTTER: Police reports published Aug. 22

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Police are looking into a report of a damaged vehicle in the 400 block of 12th Street. The victim told police that while inside a residence in the area on Tuesday she observed an individual approach her vehicle which was parked out front. The victim said it appeared as though the suspect used a sharp object to slash the vehicle’s rear, driver’s side tire. The victim said she saw the suspect run to an unknown vehicle which fled the scene. 

• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A man returning from work Tuesday evening arrived home to find someone had keyed the rear quarter panel on his 2009 Chevy Malibu. Reports indicated that the vehicle, which was parked in the 2900 block of Ontario Avenue, also had its left, rear tire slashed. Total damage was listed at $290.
