BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 19

Niagara Falls

• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a home invasion style robbery in the 1300 block of North Avenue. A 25-year-old man told officers he was home at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, when he heard a knock at his front door. The man said he answered the door and was confronted by two male suspects and one of the men put a handgun up to his face. A third suspect then joined the others and all three forced their way into the victim’s home. The suspects demanded money and pistol-whipped the victim. The suspects then ransacked the victim’s bedroom and one of  them put a knife to his neck. The victim said the suspects took a SONY PSP, a Nook tablet and some jewelry.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after witnesses saw him trying to break into a home in the 1600 block of South Avenue. Ronald Edward Proctor, 55, 628 Sixth St., lower, was charged with attempted second-degree burglary and third-degree menacing.
