BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 18

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 2800 block of Pine Avenue. Mark Anthony Maroney, 28, 1344 Elmwood Ave., Apt. 2, was charged with petit larceny. Maroney is accused of taking 15 DVDs without paying for them.

• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 1700 block of North Avenue. A 49-year-old man told officers he was walking to his vehicle, at 11:20 p.m. Monday, when he was “jumped” by two male suspects. The victim said he was repeatedly punched in the face and knocked to the ground. While he was on the ground, the victim said the suspects took a prescription pill bottle and $200 cash from his jacket pocket. The victim said the pill bottle contained 120 Hydrocodone tablets.
