Falls man charged after gun threat

Collins T. Washington, 38, 1610 Eighth St., was arrested Thursday morning after police said he claimed he had a gun while inside a bar and threatened to shoot the owner. He was charged with third-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Officers responded to the End Zone, 1717 18th St., just after midnight. Upon arrival, the owner said Washington entered the bar and upon being asked for identification began smashing bottles and threw two bar stools across the room. He then said he had a gun, which caused customers inside to fall to the floor in fear of being shot, the owner said.

Washington was picked up by police a few blocks away and brought back to the bar to be identified.



NIagara Falls

• ARREST: Elijha K. Printup, 20, 2222 Mt. Hope Road, Sanborn, was charged with disorderly conduct at 2:04 a.m. Thursday. Falls police responded to a fight at Third Street and Ferry Avenue and found Printup standing on the sidewalk with a bloody nose. While being questioned, he kept calling officers an obscenity and was placed under arrest. A witness told police he saw Printup smash the window of a car parked nearby. Another charge was pending Thursday morning.

• CHARGED: Jonathan B. Dubuc, 23, 1149 Pierce Ave., was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Dubuc, who was in Niagara Falls City jail on another charge, is accused of peeling away the rubber lining of his cell, causing $200 in damage.

• ARREST: Stephanie I. Skryzypek, 42, 1703 Whitney Ave., was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment at 3:09 a.m. Thursday. She is accused of throwing a vase at a woman during an argument and causing large scratches to the victim’s face after the vase smashed into her.

• ARREST: Tyrone P. Hilson Sr., 37, 111 Memorial St., Lockport, was charged with driving while intoxicated and having an open beverage container. He was pulled over near First Street and Rainbow Boulevard at 12:12 a.m. Thursday after making an unsafe lane change. Police said Hilson failed several field sobriety tests. He also had an open alcoholic beverage container inside the car.

• ARREST: Salvatore Santalucia, 46, 307 Kaymar Road, Apt. 5, Amherst, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 1:52 a.m. Thursday. He was pulled over for speeding near 19th Street and Walnut Avenue. Police said he failed several field sobriety tests. He was also driving with an expired car inspection.

• ARREST: Paul W. Dubois, 21, 917 Creekside Drive, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. Thursday for disorderly conduct. Police responded to the 400 block of Third Street for a crowd of more than 100 people. While trying to disperse the crowd, Dubois walked up to officers and kept asking them about an unrelated arrest. He then refused numerous orders to leave the area.

• BURGLARY: A Linwood Avenue man told police a friend of his kicked in his bedroom door Thursday morning and took $80 in change and a pair of Nike sneakers, valued at $70. The damage to the door was estimated to be $100.

• DWI: James H. Rowland II, 39, 3330 D Street, was charged with aggravated DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation about 2 a.m. Thursday on Hyde Park Boulevard. Rowland’s vehicle was pulled over by a sheriff’s deputy for allegedly failing to keep right on Hyde Park near Buffalo Street. The sheriff’s report said Rowland exhibited signs of intoxication and was belligerent during an interview. A later breath test showed Rowland’s blood alcohol content to be .21 percent, the report said. A records check indicated Rowland’s driver’s license was revoked for a prior alcohol-related offense, the report said. Rowland was held on $250 bail pending a Dec. 14 court appearance.

City of Lockport

• Unlicensed operation: Aarien D. Robinson, 29, 1810 Cleveland Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and passing through a red light at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday on Cottage Street. Police driving west on Walnut Street said they observed Robinson’s eastbound vehicle drive through the red light and strike a turning pickup truck at Walnut and Cottage. A records check indicated Robinson’s driver’s licensed is revoked, the report said. Robinson was released on $500 police bail pending a Dec. 7 appearance in City Court. The police report did not indicate anyone involved in the collision was injured.

Sanborn

• Menacing: Joshua Jordan Jones, 17, 70 N. Main St., Lyndonville, was charged with second-degree menacing Tuesday afternoon at BOCES vocational center, Saunders Settlement Road. Jones pulled a knife and pointed it at another student in a threatening manner during auto shop class, the sheriff’s report said.
