A look at police reports in the Town of Niagara from Oct. 14 through Sunday. H. James Suitor is the chief of police.
ARREST: Ryan Walker, 22, 8521 Porter Road, Apt 73, Niagara Falls, was arrested for third-degree assault on Oct. 14. A woman stated he punched her in the left side of her face, pushed her head into a wall and put her in a choke hold. The victim was transported to the Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital for treatment.
VANDALISM: A woman reported she was inside a Lockport Road bar on Oct. 15 when an unknown suspect broke the rear window of her vehicle while it was parked outside of the bar. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $350.
ARREST: Jacob Schul, 18, 1561 Tuscarora Road, Lewiston, was arrested for second-degree harassment on Oct. 16. He is accused of pushing a man down a flight of stairs after a brief struggle.
ARREST: Nancy Stewart, 51, 1457 Lafayette Ave., Niagara Falls, was arrested for shoplifting $128.95 worth of merchandise from Marshalls on Oct. 16.
BURGLARY: A resident in the 700 block of Sunnyside Drive told police an unknown suspect stole his 42-inch flat screen television, valued at $849, while he was out on Oct. 16. The victim said someone entered his home through a previously broken back door.
ARREST: Patrick Dugan, 26, 1026 99th St., Niagara Falls, was arrested for petit larceny on Oct. 19. Officers said they observed Dugan in the 8400 block of Richmond Avenue holding a bike by the roadside. When officers asked what he was doing, Dugan said he was “checking out his buddy’s car.” Police detained Dugan and a weapons check revealed loose change in Dugan’s pocket. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle Dugan was standing by and he told officers some loose change was taken from his car.
ARREST: Leon Motz Jr., 39, 97 Mullen Street, Tonawanda, was arrested for petit larceny after shoplifting $124.94 worth of video games from Kmart on Oct. 20. Motz was working as an assistant manager at the time of his arrest, police said. He attempted to exit out of the garden door of the store with the video games concealed in his lunch box.
THEFT: A Town of Niagara man told police that while his vehicle was parked on Licata Drive on Thursday an unknown suspect stole his computer which was left in his vehicle. The computer was valued at $1,500.
n ARREST: Michael Adkins, 27, 203 Anthony Drive and Carrie Klick, 21, 203 Anthony Drive, were charged with disorderly conduct, while Anthony Scarfone, 24, 44 Anthony Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a controlled substance on Friday. Officers responded to a report of a fight involving four people outside of 50 Anthony Drive in Sabre Park. Park management was trying to break up the fight when patrols arrived. Scarfone reportedly became belligerent with officers and began to advance toward them. Officers attempted to secure Scarfone, when he began to struggle with them. Once he was taken into custody, Scarfone became unresponsive, possibly due to a narcotic overdose, the report said. He was then transported to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital for evaluation.
ARREST: Deonna Burnett, 18, 66 East End St., Buffalo, and Jermisha Vayton, 18, 32 Devon Green St., Buffalo, were arrested for petit larceny after shoplifting $85.22 worth of merchandise from Kmart On Sunday.
