    Kenneth E. Drake, 47, 2172 Seneca Ave., Niagara Falls, was arrested for petit larceny after shoplifting $88.60 worth of merchandise from Kmart on Nov. 8.

  • NIAGARA FALLS: Cops nab robber, lose victim
    Falls cops are dealing with an unusual dilemma after the robbery of an elderly woman in the parking lot of a Pine Avenue pharmacy.
    Detectives say they have a suspect, but can’t find the victim. She is described only as “an elderly woman.”

    A Border Patrol agent, from the Niagara Falls station, helped to rescue two hikers stranded in the Niagara Gorge near Whirlpool State Park on Sunday.

  • LOCKPORT: Beer cans found in vehicle in fatal crash
    Police say half a dozen beer cans were found in the vehicle involved in Monday night’s fatal car accident at the corner of Vine and Garden streets.
    Captain Michael F. Niethe said the vehicle belonged to a family member of Charles E. Davis, 42, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
