Niagara Gazette — Niagara Falls Police Administrative Capt. John DeMarco said it is a good sign that the there is never a shortage of students who want to get involved in the student-run Stop DWI program each year.
This year's event follows a weekend in which a Niagara Falls teen was killed and two other youngsters were injured in a crash on Walmore Road. The accident remains under investigation.
"An event like this really hits home," DeMarco said. "Absolutely, we have been very fortunate that in the 11 years we've been doing this, I can't recall a student from Niagara Falls High being involved in an incident like this."
