Ceremony kicks off Holiday Lights of Niagara display in Hyde Park

Niagara Gazette — With the flip of a switch Wednesday night, the Holiday Lights of Niagara once again shone bright in Hyde Park.

Santa Claus and a host of others helped officials from the United Way of Niagara kick off the popular holiday tradition during a ceremony near Sal Maglie Stadium.

With Wednesday’s ceremony, dozens of lights in Hyde Park and across the city will shine nightly through the holiday season, operating from 5 to 10 p.m. nightly.

Information on the Holiday Lights of Niagara can be found online at or by calling the United Way of Greater Niagara at 216-4582.
