Earth Day marks start of green energy symposium

Niagara Gazette — With Earth Day comes the start of the World Green Energy Symposium in Niagara Falls.

The annual conference focuses on green and renewable energy technology and innovations, as well as related job and economic opportunities.

Three engineers from the power authority served as presenters, including Kala Henry, Dr. Jiankang Zhu and lead program engineer for NYPA’s Energy Efficiency Group, Randall Solomon. 

The speakers discussed fuel cells, co-generation projects and the reliability and efficiency of existing power plants. NYPA operates 16 generating facilities across New York state.
