Niagara Gazette — The United Way of Greater Niagara and several other Niagara region agencies will be among many area non-profits to benefit from Spring It On, a unique 24-hour fundraising campaign designed to make it easy to help others in Western New York.
Fundraising will take place from 12:01 a.m. through 11:29 p.m. Friday, and people can make a one-time, secure, online donation to the local not-for-profit agency of their choice through a specially designed website, Fundraise.SpringItOn.org.
Participating organizations and United Way will be promoting the event through online communications including websites, emails, and social media and through traditional communications to their constituencies.
More than 145 nonprofit organizations throughout Erie and Niagara counties representing all sectors including arts and cultural, health and human services, environmental, religious, animal protection and others have signed on to participate.
Some of the other Niagara agencies include: The Salvation Army of Niagara Falls, Greenprint Niagara, the YWCA Niagara and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Niagara Falls.
The event is being presented by the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.
Spring It On updates will be posted throughout Friday on The United Way of Buffalo and Erie County Facebook page and Twitter account via #SpringItOn, as well as on social media pages of participating organizations. For more information, visit Fundraise.SpringItOn.org.
