Stars to shine in the Falls

Niagara Gazette — Some of Hollywood's biggest stars are in the Niagara Falls for a movie shoot.

"Tammy," which features Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon, Melissa McCarthy, Dan Akroyd and Kathy Bates, will be filming in the Falls starting today.

The film's main character, Tammy, played by McCarthy, wants to visit Niagara Falls. In the movie, Sarandon reportedly plays the grandmother to McCarthy's character and the pair hit the road together after Tammy loses her job and learns that she has a cheating husband.

The release date is scheduled for July 2, 2014.
