    Luckily, a few hours later, they did.

    The three local United Ways in the process of merging are holding a vote next week to address a minor issue concerning the voting rights of members after the consolidation is approved by the state Supreme Court.

    Falls NAACP head Bill Bradberry beamed Sunday afternoon and said, “The clouds have parted and the sun has come out.”
    Then with 100 white balloons rising into the sky, members and supporters of the local chapter of the NAACP celebrated the organization’s centennial.
