PROGRAM AT RISK: Ever hear about a summer camp cancelled at the half-way point because the fundraising has fallen short of the mark?
That’s precisely what is threatening the 2013 Arts Camp sponsored by the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center. “We’re in the home stretch of our campaign to raise money to save the camp,” states Kelly L. Buckley, program and media coordinator for the NACC, based at 1201 Pine Ave.. Niagara Falls. In a press release earlier this week, she added: “Unfortunately, if we don’t raise the full amount needed ($20,000), we may be forced to cancel the camp. That would be a huge disappointment to the children and the community looking for us to provide quality-of-life programs.”
The organization’s website is www.nacc.org but if anyone dislikes the idea of making an online donation, officials say, the contribution can be mailed directly to the office (1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, N.Y. 14301)
