Mia Summerson/contributor SANTA AND HIS HELPERS: A group of local children got a chance to hang out with good, old St. Nick during Friday's event celebrating the public opening of a gingerbread village created by students from the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. Santa Claus will be on hand at the gingerbread village inside the center from 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays, from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays through December 23.
