FIRST QUARTER
Arizona 7, Buffalo 0
The good: Hmmm … this won’t be easy. Perhaps, J.P. Losman’s third-down completion to James Hardy that went for 17 yards? Losman showed poised and stuck in there to deliver a nice throw on third and seven.
The bad: Where to start — Adrian Wilson’s hit on Trent Edwards that knocked the Bills starting QB out of the game, or the team’s first big mistake with Losman at the helm just two plays later? Both were painful to watch.
Key stat: Arizona converted all three of its third downs.
SECOND QUARTER
Arizona 24, Buffalo 14
The good: How does the fifth-longest pass play in Bills history sound? Losman deked, ducked then threw a strike to Lee Evans, rekindling an old relationship. The play was the longest hookup between the two.
The bad: Defense, defense, defense. The Bills couldn’t find a way to clog the Cards’ crossing routes, and in turn, couldn’t slow Arizona’s potent offense.
Key stat: Arizona didn’t punt in the first half.
THIRD QUARTER
Arizona 31, Buffalo 14
The good: The quarter started OK as the Bills forced their first punt, then Marshawn Lynch rolled off a 22-yard run. That’s where it ended, though, as the rest of the quarter had six plays for zero yards, and one fumble.
The bad: Sure he was trying to make a play, but Justin Jenkins’ offsides penalty that gave the Cardinals a first down was a huge detriment in the grand scheme. The Bills had finally gotten a stop and would have been down just 10 points.
Key stat: Kurt Warner had a 120.1 QB rating.FOURTH QUARTER
Arizona 41, Buffalo 17
The good: The final buzzer. Losman did complete nine passes, but some of those weren't even highlights. One was well overthrown, and even a 13-yard connection to Evans wasn't productive — it came on third and 22.
The bad: This was the J.P. we remember. With the Bills 17 points down and in need of a rally, Losman held the ball too long and took a blindside sack, fumbling in the process. Six plays later, the Cards iced it with a TD.
Key stat: Losman sacked four times, one fumble, one INT
